Fibrous casings are made from armed regenerated cellulose, which consists of a fibrous fiber (a special paper being wet tearing resistant). Thanks to its strength ans caliber stability the fibrous casing is traditionally considered one of the most universal sausage casings.
There are two methods of fibrous casings manufacturing. One of them is when the casing surface is viscosed only outside (SVC), the other is when the casing surface is viscosed both outside and inside (DVC). Both methods provide an excellent end product and are used for: -mechanical strength
-regulation of end diameter of the product
-an even spread of smoke
-controlled peeling
These methods are different only in the aim of application.
